About the Role

Our client is looking for a talented and versatile Corporate and Commercial Lawyer to join their growing legal department in Paarl . This role requires a strong understanding of corporate structuring, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial contract law. You will play a key part in advising the business on strategic transactions, ensuring legal compliance, and managing commercial relationships. This position offers the chance to work on diverse and challenging legal matters within a supportive and progressive environment in the heart of the Western Cape's winelands.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on corporate structuring, mergers, acquisitions, and disposals.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant corporate laws and regulations.
• Manage legal aspects of business transactions and provide strategic legal counsel.
• Conduct legal due diligence for corporate transactions.

Requirements

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court with a minimum of 7 years of post-admission experience in corporate and commercial law .
• Proven experience in M&A transactions and complex commercial contract negotiation.
• Solid understanding of corporate governance and company law.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
