Project Manager - Supply Chain Optimization

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Manager - Supply Chain Optimization to join their dynamic operations team based in Nelspruit . This role is responsible for leading projects aimed at improving the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and resilience of the company's supply chain. You will work across various departments, including logistics, procurement, and operations, to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain principles and a proven ability to manage complex operational projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of projects focused on optimizing supply chain processes, including inventory management, logistics, and warehousing.
• Analyze current supply chain operations to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
• Develop project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to implement new supply chain solutions and technologies.
• Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery of project objectives.
• Measure and report on the impact of implemented changes on key supply chain performance indicators.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a significant focus on supply chain or logistics projects.
• Proven understanding of supply chain management principles, including inventory control, warehousing, and transportation.
• Experience with supply chain software and data analysis tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
