Senior Project Manager - Digital Transformation

About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Senior Project Manager - Digital Transformation to join their innovative team in Port Elizabeth . This role is pivotal in leading and managing complex digital transformation initiatives that enhance business processes, customer experience, and operational efficiency. You will be responsible for guiding projects through their entire lifecycle, from strategy and planning to execution and post-implementation review, ensuring alignment with the company's long-term vision. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of digital technologies and a passion for driving change.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of digital transformation projects, ensuring they meet defined business objectives.
• Develop comprehensive project roadmaps, timelines, budgets, and resource plans, adapting as necessary to evolving requirements.
• Collaborate closely with IT, business units, and external partners to define project scope, deliverables, and success criteria.
• Manage project risks, issues, and changes effectively, implementing proactive solutions to keep projects on track.
• Facilitate cross-functional team collaboration, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project performance, provide regular status reports to senior leadership, and ensure effective knowledge transfer post-project.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, with a strong focus on digital transformation or related technology projects.
• Proven experience managing projects involving cloud migration, data analytics, AI/ML, or process automation.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience implementing them in complex environments.
• PMP or Agile certification (e.g., CSM, SAFe) is highly desirable.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a Master's degree is an advantage.
