Civil Project Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a results-driven Civil Project Engineer to manage and oversee the execution of diverse infrastructure projects in Vereeniging . This role demands strong leadership, excellent planning capabilities, and a deep understanding of construction methodologies. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in project management, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to effectively coordinate with all project stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of civil engineering projects, from initiation and planning to execution and closure.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate and supervise on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with designs and safety regulations.
• Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure all project documentation, including reports and permits, is accurate and up-to‑date.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• 5-7 years of experience in civil project engineering and construction management.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project management software .
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and project teams effectively.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) or ECSA registration is advantageous.
