Field Service Millwright

SUMMARY:
Are you a trade-tested Millwright who enjoys being on the road, solving technical challenges, and working directly with clients? This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on artisan with strong boiler experience who thrives in a field service environment. You will be responsible for installations, commissioning, fault-finding, and maintenance activities at customer sites while ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.

POSITION INFO:

Job Description:

• Travel to customer sites to perform servicing, maintenance, and repair work
• Install, commission, and test boilers and associated equipment
• Conduct onsite fault-finding and troubleshooting on mechanical and electrical systems
• Diagnose equipment failures and implement effective corrective actions
• Perform preventative maintenance to maximise equipment reliability and performance
• Conduct inspections and provide recommendations for repairs and improvements
• Compile service reports and maintenance documentation following site visits
• Provide technical support and advice to customers
• Ensure all field service activities are completed according to safety and quality standards
• Build and maintain professional relationships with customers while representing the company on site

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience as a Millwright within an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Proven experience working with boilers and related equipment
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding abilities
• Experience with equipment installations and commissioning
• Previous field service or site-based maintenance experience will be highly advantageous
• Ability to work independently and manage service calls efficiently
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer interaction skills
• Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites

Qualification:

• Trade qualification as a Millwright
