Our client is looking for a proficient Group Accountant to join their finance division in Sandton, operating under a hybrid work model. This role is central to consolidating financial information across multiple entities within the group, ensuring accuracy and compliance with group reporting standards. You will play a key part in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, providing critical insights to senior management. Key Responsibilities

• Consolidate financial statements for all group entities in accordance with group policies and IFRS.
• Manage intercompany transactions, eliminations, and reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation of consolidated budgets and forecasts for the group.
• Perform detailed financial analysis of group performance, identifying trends and providing commentary.
• Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements across all jurisdictions.
• Support the group's internal and external audit processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA(SA), CIMA) is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in group accounting or consolidation.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and consolidation principles.
• Proficiency with consolidation software and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
