About the Role

Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and engaging Tour Guide with a specialization in cultural and heritage tours for their operations in and around Upington . This role requires an individual with a deep understanding of the region's history, traditions, and landmarks, capable of delivering captivating and informative experiences to diverse groups of tourists. You will be responsible for leading engaging tours, ensuring guest safety, and enhancing their appreciation of the local heritage, contributing significantly to the region's tourism appeal.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct engaging cultural and heritage tours for small and large groups.
• Provide accurate and interesting historical, cultural, and local information.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all tour participants at all times.
• Answer questions and interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Adapt tour routes and commentary based on group needs and interests.
• Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude to enhance the guest experience.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Tour Guide or in a related customer-facing role.
• In-depth knowledge of local history, culture, and significant heritage sites.
• Excellent storytelling, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are preferred.
