Lodge Manager – Luxury Game Reserve

Location: Welgevonden Game Reserve, Limpopo

Property: Luxury Game Reserve

Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience

Accommodation: Live-in

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lodge Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a luxury game reserve in Welgevonden, Limpopo. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional with a strong background in luxury safari lodge management, exceptional leadership abilities and a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the lodge, ensuring the highest standards of service and hospitality are consistently maintained.
• Lead, motivate and manage the lodge team, fostering a positive and professional working environment.
• Ensure exceptional guest experiences from arrival to departure, attending to guest needs and resolving any concerns efficiently.
• Manage operational budgets, control costs and monitor expenditure to support the financial performance of the lodge.
• Oversee stock control, procurement and inventory management.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, food and beverage service, maintenance and overall lodge presentation.
• Work closely with the kitchen, front-of-house, housekeeping and guiding teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Monitor staff performance, provide ongoing training and ensure compliance with company policies and hospitality standards.
• Ensure health, safety and hygiene regulations are adhered to throughout the property.
• Assist with the development and implementation of operational procedures to improve efficiency and service delivery.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with guests, suppliers and team members.
• Uphold the standards and reputation of a luxury safari hospitality environment.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a Lodge Manager or senior lodge management position within a luxury safari lodge or game reserve.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
• Excellent financial and operational management capabilities.
• A solid understanding of hospitality standards, guest relations and lodge operations.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A hands-on approach with a passion for service excellence and continuous improvement.
• Flexibility to work in a remote, live-in environment and accommodate the operational demands of a luxury game reserve.

Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience. Live-in accommodation is provided.
