Aerospace Quality Assurance Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Aerospace Quality Assurance Specialist to join their team in Mahikeng . This role is critical in maintaining and improving the quality management systems that govern their aerospace manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with stringent industry standards, conducting audits, and implementing quality improvement initiatives. This position offers the chance to make a significant impact on product reliability and customer satisfaction within a growing aerospace sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company's quality management system (QMS) in accordance with aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100).
• Conduct internal audits of manufacturing processes, documentation, and compliance to identify areas for improvement.
• Investigate quality non-conformances, root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Monitor key quality metrics and prepare reports for management review.
• Provide training to staff on quality procedures and standards.
• Liaise with external auditors, suppliers, and customers on quality-related matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., ASQ) are highly valued.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in quality assurance, with specific experience in the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
• Thorough knowledge of AS9100 and other relevant aerospace quality standards.
• Proven experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) methodologies.
• Strong understanding of auditing principles and practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
