Remote Senior Electrical Engineer - Renewables

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with a strong background in renewable energy projects to join their fully remote team. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design and engineering for utility-scale renewable energy projects, including system architecture, component selection, and detailed engineering.
• Develop and review complex electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and protection coordination studies for power generation systems.
• Perform grid interconnection studies and ensure compliance with utility requirements and grid codes.
• Oversee the technical aspects of project execution, including equipment procurement, installation supervision, and commissioning support, remotely.
• Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams and stakeholders.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices in renewable energy and power systems engineering.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, with a specialization in Power Systems or Renewable Energy.
• 10+ years of professional experience in the electrical engineering field, with at least 5 years focused on renewable energy projects (solar, wind).
• Demonstrated expertise in power system analysis software (e.g., PSS/E, PSCAD, ETAP) and simulation tools.
• Strong understanding of grid interconnection standards, electrical codes, and safety regulations globally.
• Proven ability to manage complex engineering tasks and projects independently in a remote work environment.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills, essential for remote teamwork.
