About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Development Instructor to join their educational technology team based in Pretoria . This role focuses on training aspiring software developers through immersive bootcamps and ongoing educational programs. You will be responsible for curriculum delivery, student mentorship, and guiding learners through complex coding challenges. The position involves a hybrid work model, blending on-site instruction with remote support and content development, fostering a practical and engaging learning experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality instruction in various software development disciplines, including web development, mobile development, and data structures.
• Develop and update course materials, coding exercises, and project assignments to reflect industry best practices.
• Provide individualized mentorship and career guidance to students, assisting them with technical challenges and job readiness.
• Facilitate hands-on coding sessions and practical workshops, both in-person and virtually.
• Evaluate student progress through coding assignments, projects, and assessments.
• Collaborate with curriculum designers to ensure course content remains relevant and up-to-date with industry trends.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in software development.
• Proven experience in teaching, training, or mentoring junior developers.
• Strong proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java) and development frameworks.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
• Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git).
