Senior Livestock Manager — Lead Large Herds

You will leverage your expertise in animal science, welfare, and farm management to help clients optimize their herds or flocks, ensuring efficient and sustainable livestock farming. Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert remote consultation on livestock health, nutrition, breeding, and welfare programs.
• Analyze livestock production data (e.g., feed conversion ratios, birth rates, mortality rates) to identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and recommend customized management plans for various types of livestock operations.
• Advise on biosecurity measures, disease prevention, and herd health management strategies.
• Stay informed about the latest research and technologies in animal science and livestock management.
• Conduct virtual farm assessments and provide actionable recommendations to clients located anywhere.

Requirements

• Degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Technology, Agriculture, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in practical livestock management, ideally across multiple species (e.g., cattle, sheep, poultry).
• Strong understanding of animal nutrition, genetics, reproduction, and disease control.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Superior communication and presentation skills, comfortable delivering advice and training remotely.
