Legal Advisor - Contracts & Agreements

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Advisor specializing in Contracts and Agreements to join their established legal department in Centurion . In this vital role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of contractual obligations, ensuring clarity, compliance, and protection for the company. You will work closely with various business units, providing expert legal counsel on the formation, negotiation, and execution of agreements. Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide array of commercial contracts, including NDAs, service level agreements, and partnership agreements.
• Advise business stakeholders on contractual terms, risks, and obligations.
• Maintain and organize the company's contract repository, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
• Ensure all contracts comply with relevant laws and company policies.
• Liaise with external counsel when necessary for specialized legal advice.

Requirements

• Admitted attorney with a minimum of 5 years of experience in contract law.
• Proven expertise in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
• Solid understanding of South African contract law principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
