Telecoms Network Operations Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a results-driven Telecoms Network Operations Manager to lead their network operations center in Richards Bay . This hybrid role requires a leader who can oversee daily operations, manage a team of network engineers and technicians, and ensure the optimal performance and availability of the company"s telecommunications network. You will be responsible for implementing operational strategies, managing incident response, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate has a strong background in network management, exceptional leadership skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the network operations center (NOC), ensuring 24/7 service availability.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of network engineers and support staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Oversee incident management, problem management, and change management processes for the telecommunications network.
• Monitor network performance metrics, identify trends, and implement proactive measures to prevent outages.
• Develop and enforce operational policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain network integrity and security.
• Collaborate with other departments, including engineering and customer support, to resolve complex network issues and improve service delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in network operations management within the telecoms industry .
• Proven experience in managing complex, large-scale networks and leading technical teams.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, monitoring tools, and fault diagnosis.
• Experience with ITIL best practices and service management frameworks.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage both remote and on-site teams effectively.
