About the Role

We are looking for a Kentico Application Developer to join an international team and support the development and maintenance of Kentico-based applications.

This is a hands-on development role suited to someone with strong experience working with Kentico Xperience 13 or Xperience by Kentico, particularly in building custom Page Builder widgets and modules from scratch.

You will work across the Kentico platform, backend development, APIs, databases, and existing production codebases, while following strong development and code quality practices.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain custom Kentico Page Builder widgets and modules from scratch.
Create and manage content types, fields, and templates.
Develop and maintain backend functionality using .NET Core and C#.
Develop and maintain APIs and server-side applications.
Work with Microsoft SQL Server databases.
Troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance existing applications.
Participate in code reviews and follow source control best practices.
Work within an existing production codebase and contribute to ongoing improvements.
Communicate progress, challenges, and technical requirements clearly.
Work independently while collaborating with the wider development team.

Requirements

3+ years of hands-on experience building custom Kentico Page Builder widgets or modules.
Strong experience with Kentico Xperience 13 or Xperience by Kentico.
Strong .NET Core and C# development skills.
Experience working with APIs and server-side development.
Solid knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.
Experience working within an existing production codebase.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Ability to work independently and manage development tasks effectively.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Advantageous

Experience with Docker.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with modern front-end frameworks.
Previous agency or consultancy experience.
Experience working across multiple Kentico projects or client environments.

To Be Successful, You'll Need To:

Have strong practical knowledge of Kentico Xperience.
Be confident building custom Page Builder widgets and modules from scratch.
Have strong hands-on C# and .NET Core development experience.
Be comfortable working across backend development, APIs, and databases.
Be able to work independently within an existing production environment.
Communicate clearly and take ownership of your work.
Be comfortable working USA-aligned working hours.
Be willing to work from our offices based in Johannesburg/Kenya
