Merchandising Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking an organized and visually adept Merchandising Specialist to join their team in Vereeniging . This role is vital for ensuring our client's products are presented attractively and effectively in retail environments, driving sales and enhancing brand visibility within the FMCG sector. You will be responsible for implementing merchandising plans, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring compliance with brand standards across various retail locations in the Gauteng region. This is a hands-on role for someone passionate about retail presentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain product displays and shelf arrangements according to company merchandising guidelines and planograms.
• Ensure optimal stock levels on shelves and assist with stock rotation to minimize waste and ensure product freshness.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with store managers and staff to ensure effective implementation of merchandising strategies.
• Monitor competitor activities and product placement to identify opportunities for improved in-store presence.
• Report on store conditions, stock issues, and merchandising effectiveness, providing feedback to the sales and marketing teams.
• Ensure all promotional materials and point-of-sale displays are correctly placed and maintained.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail merchandising, visual display, or a related role, preferably in the FMCG industry .
• Strong understanding of merchandising principles and retail display techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for visual presentation.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with store personnel.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
• High school diploma or equivalent; experience in a retail setting is essential for this role in Vereeniging .
