Remote Sanitation Policy Advisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Remote Sanitation Policy Advisor to contribute to their strategic hygiene initiatives. This pivotal role involves developing, refining, and advising on sanitation policies and best practices that will be implemented across the entire organization, regardless of location. You will conduct research, analyze industry trends, and provide expert recommendations to ensure compliance and promote optimal hygiene standards. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong understanding of sanitation science and policy development, capable of working autonomously and driving positive change remotely, supporting operations that may be based in or around Stellenbosch .

Key Responsibilities

• Research and analyze current sanitation regulations, industry best practices, and emerging trends.
• Develop comprehensive, clear, and actionable sanitation policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Provide expert guidance and consultation to internal stakeholders on hygiene and sanitation matters.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of existing policies and recommend improvements for enhanced compliance and efficiency.
• Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior management.
• Contribute to the development of training materials related to sanitation policies.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (e.g., Masters) in Public Health, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Significant experience (5+ years) in sanitation, hygiene management, or public health policy development.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing organizational policies and procedures.
• Excellent research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, suitable for remote collaboration.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage complex projects from inception to completion in a remote capacity.
