Area Sales Manager - FMCG

Our client, a prominent leader in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Area Sales Manager to lead sales efforts in the Mahikeng region. This role is pivotal for driving sales performance, expanding market share, and managing relationships with key clients and distributors across the North West province. You will be responsible for setting sales targets, coaching your sales team, and implementing effective strategies to ensure brand growth and customer satisfaction. This is an exciting opportunity for a sales professional with a proven track record in the FMCG market to take on a leadership role.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve or exceed sales targets for FMCG products in the assigned area.
• Lead, train, and motivate a team of sales representatives to maximize their performance and productivity.
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key customers, distributors, and stakeholders in Mahikeng .
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities and challenges.
• Analyze sales data and performance metrics to provide regular reports and forecasts to senior management.
• Ensure effective implementation of promotional campaigns and merchandising strategies at the retail level.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the FMCG industry , with demonstrated success in managing sales teams.
• Proven ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Strong understanding of sales principles and the retail landscape within North West .
• Proficiency in CRM software and sales reporting tools.
