About the Role

A prestigious sports club in Pretoria is seeking an accomplished and motivating Head Squash Coach to lead its squash program. This senior role involves developing and implementing a high-performance training strategy for players of all levels, from junior development to elite adult competitors. You will be responsible for fostering a positive, disciplined, and competitive team environment, enhancing the skills and tactical understanding of all squash participants. The ideal candidate possesses extensive coaching experience, a deep knowledge of squash strategy, and a passion for player development, contributing to the club's reputation as a hub for sporting excellence in the Gauteng province, ensuring players are equipped to succeed at various competitive levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive training programs tailored to different age groups and skill levels, focusing on technical, tactical, physical, and mental aspects of the game.
• Identify, recruit, and develop talented junior and senior players for the club's competitive teams.
• Provide one-on-one and group coaching sessions, offering constructive feedback and personalized guidance to improve player performance.
• Organize and manage the club's squash league, tournaments, and inter-club matches.
• Promote squash participation and engagement within the club and the wider community.
• Maintain equipment and court facilities, ensuring they are in optimal condition for training and matches.

Requirements

• Significant experience as a Squash Coach, with a proven track record of developing players to a competitive standard.
• In-depth knowledge of squash techniques, strategies, and training methodologies.
• Strong leadership, communication, and motivational skills.
• Ability to assess player potential and design effective, individualized training plans.
• Certification from a recognized national or international squash coaching body is essential.
• Must be able to foster a positive and inclusive team culture, encouraging sportsmanship and dedication.
