BEVERAGE & FRONT OF HOUSE MANAGER / EAST LONDON – Valid code 08 Driver’s license, and own vehicle required (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
Purpose of the role;
Running beverage and front-of-house operations day to day: service quality, staff, stock and financial controls, and guest satisfaction.
Overseeing general cleaning to ensure public areas stay clean, with cleaning supplies kept in stock.
Minimum Requirements;
· Matric plus 2 years in hospitality.
· Skillset required – Strong leadership, Operations, Guest Service, Stock and Cost control, Problem-solving, Hygiene standards, Conflict resolution, POS and computer skills, Purchasing, and Time management.
Key responsibilities
Operations: Ordering of all Beverage stock for all departments, keep restaurants running smoothly and staffed for busy periods. Track monthly headcounts, and coordinate with other departments on events, conferences and golf days. Make sure beverage stock is up to date and properly rotated.
Financial: Run weekly and monthly beverage stock takes, investigate variances, and manage GRVs. Control costs and wastage, compare supplier prices, and resolve cash-up discrepancies. Place weekly orders with the main suppliers.
Guest relations: Handle queries and complaints professionally and follow up on corrective action. Build good relationships with regular guests and members.
Staff management: Supervise and train FOH staff and keep them busy during quiet times. Take part in recruitment, handle performance and discipline issues, issue warnings, and write incident reports. Draw up the weekly roster for approval.
Additional: Support other departments, help with procedures, and assist at functions and conferences.
