Regional Goods Transporter

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Regional Goods Transporter to manage freight movements across the Queenstown, Eastern Cape region and beyond. This position is critical to our supply chain operations, ensuring that goods are transported efficiently and securely between various business locations. You will be responsible for operating a commercial vehicle, adhering to strict schedules, and maintaining the condition of the cargo. The successful candidate will be experienced, reliable, and possess a strong understanding of regional logistics and road safety. This role offers a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for a dedicated transporter in the Eastern Cape.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles for regional transportation of goods.
• Plan and execute delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals and departures.
• Safely load, secure, and unload various types of cargo.
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on the assigned vehicle.
• Maintain accurate logbooks and delivery documentation.
• Comply with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.

Requirements

• Valid Code 14 (EC) driver's license with a current Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
• A minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience, preferably in regional transport.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Eastern Cape road networks and conditions.
• Ability to handle physical tasks related to cargo management.
• Excellent driving record and a commitment to safety.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
