Industrial Engineer - Production Optimization

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive Industrial Engineer focused on production optimization to join their team in East London . This role is instrumental in analyzing and enhancing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure product quality. You will work closely with production staff and management to implement lean manufacturing principles and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze current production processes to identify bottlenecks, waste, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and implement strategies using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
• Design and implement efficient production layouts and workflows.
• Conduct time and motion studies to establish standard work and optimize operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials for production processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in industrial engineering, specifically focused on production optimization.
• Proven experience with lean manufacturing tools and techniques (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping).
• Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams.
