About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join their fully remote workforce, contributing from anywhere in South Africa. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and processes that enable seamless software development, deployment, and operation. This role involves extensive use of cloud technologies, automation tools, and CI/CD practices to ensure scalability, reliability, and security. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Develop and maintain robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for production environments.
- Automate operational tasks and infrastructure provisioning using scripting and configuration management tools.
- Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of all deployed systems.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering or a related role.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Extensive knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and monitoring best practices.
