About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic Civil Engineer with a focus on Transportation and Roads to join their team in Mahikeng . You will be instrumental in the design, planning, and supervision of road infrastructure projects, contributing to the improved connectivity and mobility within the region. This role involves hands-on design work, site supervision, and coordination with various stakeholders. You will work within a dedicated team committed to developing safe, efficient, and sustainable transportation networks for the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop plans for new roads, highways, intersections, and associated infrastructure.
- Conduct traffic studies, capacity analyses, and geometric design for transportation projects.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and construction drawings.
- Oversee construction activities to ensure projects are completed according to design specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate with urban planners, environmental consultants, and other stakeholders on transportation initiatives.
- Perform pavement design and analysis for road rehabilitation projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering .
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in the design and management of transportation and road projects .
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and relevant transportation planning/design software.
- Strong understanding of traffic engineering principles and road design standards.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
- Experience with construction supervision is highly valued.
