Electrical Maintenance Engineer - Industrial Plant

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to manage and maintain the electrical systems of their industrial plant in Bloemfontein . This role is critical for ensuring the operational uptime and safety of the facility by overseeing preventative and corrective maintenance activities. You will diagnose and resolve electrical issues, manage spare parts inventory, and implement improvements to enhance system reliability. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong understanding of industrial electrical equipment and a proactive approach to maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for all electrical equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults in machinery, control systems, and power distribution.
• Oversee and perform electrical installations and modifications as required.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and site procedures.
• Manage the inventory of electrical spare parts and consumables.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and generate reports on equipment performance.

Requirements

• National Diploma or B.Eng in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of low and medium voltage systems , motor controls, and PLCs.
• Experience with electrical safety procedures and lockout/tagout protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting complex electrical systems.
