Data Scientist - AI/ML

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and analytical Data Scientist with a strong background in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to join their innovative team in Centurion. You will be responsible for extracting actionable insights from complex datasets, developing predictive models, and leveraging AI techniques to solve challenging business problems. This role requires a blend of statistical expertise, programming skills, and business acumen to drive data-informed decision-making across the organization. You will work on diverse projects, from building recommendation engines to optimizing operational efficiency through advanced analytics, within a collaborative and intellectually stimulating environment that values continuous learning and cutting-edge research.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for AI/ML application.
• Develop, train, and evaluate machine learning models for prediction, classification, clustering, and anomaly detection.
• Implement and deploy AI algorithms into production environments, collaborating with engineering teams.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly through visualizations and presentations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Conduct A/B testing and other experiments to measure the impact of AI solutions and drive iterative improvements.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• 3+ years of professional experience as a Data Scientist, with a focus on AI/ML.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Matplotlib, Seaborn).
• Solid understanding of statistical modeling, experimental design, and machine learning algorithms.
