E-commerce Platform Manager

About the Role

Our client seeks a dynamic and experienced E-commerce Platform Manager to oversee their online store operations in Pretoria . This role is central to ensuring the functionality, performance, and continuous improvement of their e-commerce platform. You will collaborate with IT, marketing, and sales teams to deliver an exceptional online shopping experience for customers. The hybrid nature of this role allows for both focused independent work and valuable team collaboration, contributing to the strategic direction and operational efficiency of the company's digital retail presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the e-commerce platform, ensuring optimal uptime and performance.
• Oversee website content updates, including product information, pricing, and promotional banners.
• Implement and manage A/B testing and conversion rate optimization (CRO) initiatives.
• Coordinate with development teams on platform enhancements, bug fixes, and new feature rollouts.
• Analyze platform performance metrics, including traffic, conversion rates, and user behavior, to identify trends and opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with e-commerce best practices, security standards, and relevant regulations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in e-commerce platform management or a similar role.
• Proficiency with major e-commerce platforms (e.g., Magento, Shopify Plus, BigCommerce).
• Strong understanding of web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and CRO principles.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including IT, marketing, and design.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related technical field.
