Aftercare Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking an organized and responsible Aftercare Supervisor to manage their after-school program in Port Elizabeth . This role involves supervising children in a safe and structured environment after school hours, coordinating homework assistance, organizing recreational activities, and ensuring the well-being of all participants. You will play a key role in providing a positive and enriching experience for children, fostering a sense of community and fun. Join a dedicated team focused on supporting children's academic and social development in the Friendly City of the Eastern Cape .

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise children aged (Specify Age Range, e.g., 6-12) during aftercare hours, ensuring a safe and secure environment.
• Assist children with homework completion and provide academic support as needed.
• Plan and lead engaging recreational and educational activities, including games, crafts, and outdoor play.
• Manage daily sign-in/sign-out procedures and communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s day.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the aftercare facility and materials.

Requirements

• Experience in childcare, youth work, or education, particularly with school-aged children.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to plan and implement engaging activities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children, parents, and colleagues.
• First aid certification is preferred.
