Production Manager

Our client, a significant manufacturing enterprise in Soweto , is seeking a results-driven and experienced Production Manager . This senior role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the production department, ensuring that manufacturing operations are efficient, cost-effective, and meet high-quality standards. You will lead a team of production supervisors and staff, driving continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring the timely delivery of products. This is a critical leadership position within the Gauteng region, requiring strategic oversight and a deep commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and motivate the production team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
• Develop and implement production strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
• Oversee daily production operations, ensuring smooth workflow and timely order fulfillment.
• Implement and enforce stringent health and safety standards and operational procedures.
• Manage production budgets, resource allocation, and inventory levels effectively.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, adopting best practices in manufacturing.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Production Manager or in a similar senior production leadership role.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes , lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma principles.
• Proven track record of improving production efficiency and reducing costs.
• Excellent leadership, strategic planning, and decision-making skills .
• Proficiency in production management software and systems.
• A degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
