Junior Electrical Engineer - Infrastructure Projects

About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Junior Electrical Engineer to support their infrastructure projects division in Port Elizabeth . This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer to gain hands‑on experience in the design, development, and execution of significant infrastructure works. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers, contributing to projects ranging from power distribution networks to telecommunications infrastructure. This hybrid role provides a balance of in-office mentorship and flexibility for site-related tasks or independent work.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in the design and planning of electrical infrastructure projects.
• Prepare technical documentation, including drawings, reports, and specifications.
• Conduct site visits for inspections, data collection, and progress monitoring.
• Support the testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Participate in project meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Learn and apply relevant electrical engineering codes and standards.

Requirements

• B.Eng or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• 0-3 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, preferably with exposure to infrastructure.
• Basic understanding of electrical principles and systems.
• Familiarity with CAD software is an advantage.
• Strong desire to learn and develop technical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
