About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Remote Construction Planning Specialist to join their team, supporting projects across various locations. This role focuses on the intricate planning and logistical coordination of construction endeavors from a remote setting. You will be responsible for developing detailed project schedules, coordinating resource allocation, and ensuring all pre-construction requirements are met. This position offers the flexibility of remote work while playing a crucial role in the efficient execution of construction projects for a leading firm.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed construction project schedules using industry-standard software.


• Coordinate with site teams, engineers, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.


• Assist in the preparation of project proposals, bid documents, and contract agreements.


• Conduct remote risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for potential project challenges.


• Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and permit requirements for projects across South Africa .


• Facilitate virtual meetings and maintain clear communication channels between all project stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.


• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction planning, scheduling, or project coordination.


• Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar.


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively in a virtual environment.


• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
