Animation Supervisor

Our client is looking for an experienced Animation Supervisor to guide their talented animation team in Richards Bay. This role is central to ensuring the highest quality of character and environmental animation for our upcoming projects. You will provide artistic direction, technical oversight, and mentorship to animators, fostering a collaborative and productive environment. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the animation team, providing artistic direction and technical guidance throughout the production pipeline.
• Review animation dailies, provide constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to project style guides and quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with directors, art directors, and other department leads to achieve the creative vision for the project.
• Develop and implement animation workflows and best practices to optimize efficiency and quality.
• Troubleshoot animation-related issues and provide solutions to ensure timely delivery of assets.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as an Animator or Animation Lead, with a proven track record in supervisory roles.
• Strong understanding of animation principles, cinematography, and storytelling.
• Proficiency in industry-standard 3D animation software (e.g., Maya, Blender).
• Experience with motion capture cleanup and integration is a plus.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and performance.
