Cloud Solutions Architect

Our client is seeking a visionary Cloud Solutions Architect to lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge cloud infrastructure in Richards Bay . You will be responsible for architecting scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions that align with business objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud technologies, best practices, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into robust technical designs. You will guide engineering teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive the adoption of cloud services across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect cloud-native solutions on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.
• Develop technical roadmaps and strategies for cloud adoption and modernization.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure successful implementation of cloud architectures.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on cloud best practices, security standards, and cost optimization.
• Evaluate and recommend new cloud technologies and services to meet evolving business needs.
• Create detailed design documentation, diagrams, and proposals for cloud solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in IT, with at least 4 years focused on cloud architecture and design.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their core services.
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and database technologies in a cloud context.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
