About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Portfolio Manager to join their investment management team in Nelspruit . This role is responsible for managing investment portfolios to meet specific client objectives, analyzing market trends, and making informed investment decisions. You will work closely with clients to understand their financial goals and risk tolerance, constructing and managing portfolios that align with these needs. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of financial markets, asset allocation, and risk management techniques to deliver superior investment performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement investment strategies for client portfolios, aligning with stated objectives and risk profiles.
• Conduct in-depth research and analysis of various asset classes, including equities, fixed income, and alternative investments.
• Monitor portfolio performance, rebalance holdings as necessary, and identify opportunities for optimization.
• Communicate regularly with clients to provide portfolio updates, performance reviews, and market insights.
• Manage investment risk effectively, employing appropriate hedging strategies and diversification techniques.
• Stay current with macroeconomic trends, market developments, and regulatory changes impacting investment strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; CFA designation strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in investment management, portfolio construction, or asset allocation.
• Proven track record of successfully managing investment portfolios and achieving client objectives.
• Strong analytical skills, proficiency in financial modeling, and understanding of statistical analysis.
• Excellent client relationship management and communication skills.
• Knowledge of investment software and trading platforms is essential.
