Senior Project Manager - Financial Services

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to drive key initiatives within the Financial Services sector in Bloemfontein . You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of projects that enhance our service offerings, improve operational efficiency, and ensure regulatory compliance. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of financial markets and complex project environments. You will lead project teams, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure the successful delivery of strategic business objectives in a dynamic financial landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of financial services projects, from initiation and planning through to execution and closure.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
• Lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
• Ensure all projects comply with relevant financial regulations and industry standards.
• Manage communication with stakeholders at all levels, providing regular updates on project progress and potential issues.
• Implement project management best practices to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.

Requirements

• A minimum of 9 years of experience in project management, with a significant portion within the Financial Services industry.
• Proven experience managing complex projects, such as system implementations, regulatory compliance initiatives, or product launches.
• Strong understanding of financial products, markets, and regulatory requirements (e.g., POPIA, FAIS).
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
