Job description

6-Month Contract | Opportunity to Go Permanent

Help Bring Extraordinary Events to Life

Are you ambitious, proactive and energised by moving quickly?

We're hiring on behalf of a fast-growing international events and experiences company creating exciting live experiences across global markets.

They're looking for an Event Bookings Associate to help identify new venue opportunities, build relationships, secure bookings and get new shows launched.

This is not a traditional events administration role.

It's a high-output, commercially focused position where you'll spend a significant amount of your time researching venues, conducting outreach, following up, negotiating and turning opportunities into confirmed bookings.

The team operates at serious pace, with new shows sometimes going from venue sourcing to launch within just a few days.

We're therefore looking for someone who can move quickly, communicate brilliantly, stay organised and keep momentum without needing to be chased.

You don't need years of events experience. We’re open to candidates from sales, business development, operations, project management, partnerships, hospitality, events or similar fast-paced environments.

What matters most is your attitude, energy, commercial instinct and ability to get things done.

The Opportunity

You'll work closely with the international bookings and operations team, helping the business expand into new cities, venues and markets.

Your goal is simple:

Find opportunities → start conversations → secure the venue → get the show launched.

You'll manage multiple opportunities simultaneously, work towards clear targets and collaborate with teams across operations, marketing, advertising, content and events.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants real responsibility early in their career and enjoys working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.

  • Research and identify new venues and locations.
  • Conduct high-volume outreach to venue owners, operators and managers.
  • Use AI tools, templates and systems to make outreach more efficient.
  • Build relationships with potential venue partners.
  • Follow up consistently and proactively.
  • Manage multiple conversations and opportunities at once.
  • Identify new cities and markets that could work for the business.
  • Keep accurate records of outreach and opportunities.
  • Move opportunities quickly from initial outreach to confirmed booking.
  • Communicate confidently with external stakeholders.
  • Negotiate practical booking requirements.
  • Keep momentum across opportunities and outstanding actions.
  • Identify blockers early and find solutions.
  • Balance speed with accuracy.

Once a venue is secured, you'll help coordinate the information required to get the show live.

You'll work across:

  • Operations
  • Marketing
  • Advertising
  • Content
  • Social
  • Staffing

You'll help ensure information moves quickly between teams and that nothing gets stuck

Expansion & Process Improvement

  • Research new markets, cities and venue opportunities.
  • Suggest new ideas and potential locations.
  • Support international expansion projects.
  • Identify ways to improve outreach and booking processes.
  • Help build scalable systems as the business grows.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for potential, energy and attitude as much as experience.

You could come from:

  • Sales / Business Development
  • Events
  • Operations
  • Project Management
  • Partnerships
  • Hospitality
  • Account Management
  • Recruitment
  • Customer Success
  • Or another role involving outreach, coordination and relationship building

You’ll ideally:

  • Be highly proactive and naturally take action.
  • Be comfortable working at high speed and high volume.
  • Enjoy outreach and communicating with new people.
  • Be persistent and comfortable with rejection.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be commercially minded and target-driven.
  • Be highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Have excellent attention to detail.
  • Be confident communicating with external stakeholders.
  • Be comfortable with changing priorities and ambiguity.
  • Have a "figure it out" mentality.
  • Be comfortable using technology and AI tools.
  • Bring energy and ambition to a young, fast-growing team.

Experience Isn't Everything

You do not need extensive events experience to succeed here.

We're particularly interested in early-career, ambitious candidates who are hungry to prove themselves.

Someone with 1–5 years' experience in sales, operations, events, project management, partnerships or a similar environment could be an excellent fit.

Equally, an exceptional graduate with the right attitude, communication skills and drive could thrive.

We're less interested in whether you've held the exact job title before and more interested in whether you can:

Move quickly. Communicate well. Take ownership. Find opportunities. Get results.

  • Get energy from having lots to do.
  • Enjoy working towards targets.
  • Don't give up after the first unanswered email.
  • Like speaking to new people.
  • Move quickly without needing to be pushed.
  • Enjoy figuring things out.
  • Spot opportunities others might miss.
  • Can handle a fast-changing environment.
  • Take ownership rather than waiting for instructions.
  • Want to see the direct impact of your work.
  • 6-month contract with opportunity to go permanent
  • Join a rapidly scaling international events business.
  • Help expand into new cities and markets.
  • Work on exciting live experiences across global markets.
  • Join a young, ambitious and entrepreneurial team.
  • Take meaningful responsibility from day one.
  • Opportunities for career growth as the business scales.
  • Remote working from South Africa.
  • Discretionary annual performance bonus.
  • 20 days annual leave + 8 UK national holidays + additional Christmas leave.
  • Additional annual leave for length of service.
  • Birthday off every year.
  • Maternity and paternity leave policies.
  • Complimentary access to live events and experiences for yourself, family and friends.

The Team

You'll join a young, ambitious international team working across bookings, operations, marketing, advertising, content and events.

The business is scaling rapidly, with new shows and markets being launched continuously.

It's a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment where speed, ownership and personality matter.

If you're someone who wants work hard, learn quickly and have a visible impact, you'll fit right in
