Legal Advisor - Contract Management

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Advisor with expertise in contract management to join their legal team in Port Elizabeth . This role is central to ensuring that all contractual agreements entered into by the company are legally sound, compliant, and effectively managed throughout their lifecycle. You will work closely with various departments to review, draft, and negotiate contracts, and provide advice on contractual risks and obligations. Key Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including supply, service, and licensing agreements.
• Manage the contract lifecycle, from initiation and execution to renewal and termination.
• Provide legal advice on contractual interpretation, compliance, and risk mitigation.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and relevant legal regulations in all contractual matters.
• Maintain accurate records of all contracts and related documentation.
• Collaborate with business teams to understand their contractual needs and provide timely legal support.

Requirements

• Admitted Attorney or qualified Legal Advisor with a minimum of 4 years of experience in contract law.
• Strong understanding of commercial contract principles and drafting best practices.
• Experience in contract review, negotiation, and management.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Familiarity with contract management software is advantageous.
