About the Role

Our client, a respected charitable foundation in Stellenbosch , is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Volunteer Coordinator to manage its growing volunteer program. This role is vital for recruiting, training, and supporting the dedicated individuals who contribute their time and skills to our mission. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies for recruiting volunteers from diverse backgrounds.
• Screen, interview, and onboard new volunteers, ensuring proper placement based on skills and interests.
• Develop and deliver engaging training programs for volunteers, covering organizational policies and specific role requirements.
• Coordinate volunteer schedules and assignments, ensuring adequate coverage for all organizational needs.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for volunteers, addressing their inquiries and concerns.
• Organize volunteer recognition events and initiatives to appreciate their contributions.
• Maintain accurate volunteer records and track volunteer hours and impact.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in volunteer management, human resources, or a related field.
• Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a talent for building rapport with diverse individuals.
• Experience in recruitment, training, and support of volunteers.
• Proficiency in using volunteer management software or databases is a plus.
• Passion for community service and the non-profit sector in the Western Cape .
