About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Remote Civil Engineer with a specialization in Transportation Projects to join their forward-thinking, geographically dispersed engineering team. This role focuses on the design and planning of transportation infrastructure, including roads, highways, and public transit systems, from a remote setting. You will be responsible for creating detailed design solutions, ensuring compliance with national standards, and collaborating closely with project managers and construction teams through virtual channels. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop transportation infrastructure projects, including roadways, intersections, and interchange layouts.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and geometric design reports using industry-standard software.
• Conduct traffic analysis and capacity studies to inform design decisions and optimize network performance.
• Ensure designs adhere to relevant road design codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with remote project teams, clients, and external stakeholders through virtual platforms.
• Provide technical support during the construction phase and review contractor submittals as needed.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, with a specialization in Transportation Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is required.
• A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in transportation engineering design.
• Proficiency in transportation design software such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, PDS, VISSIM, or similar.
• Strong understanding of traffic engineering principles, road geometry, and pavement design.
• Excellent technical documentation, virtual collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
