About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimize their supply chain operations, functioning remotely with potential for site visits to the Mahikeng, North West area. This senior role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the supply chain, from procurement and inventory management to logistics and distribution, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reliability. You will develop and implement strategies to enhance the supply chain's resilience and performance, leveraging data analytics and industry best practices. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement end-to-end supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
• Manage procurement, inventory levels, warehousing, and transportation logistics.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and service providers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
• Implement and manage supply chain technology and systems for enhanced visibility and control.
• Monitor supply chain performance, identify risks, and develop contingency plans.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, trade laws, and ethical sourcing practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
• Proven expertise in procurement, inventory control, logistics, and demand planning.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and supply chain planning software.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
