Automotive Service Advisor

About the Role

Our client is looking for a customer-focused and knowledgeable Automotive Service Advisor to join their busy dealership in Polokwane . This role is the primary point of contact for customers regarding their vehicle's service and repair needs. You will be responsible for greeting customers, understanding their concerns, accurately documenting service requests, and communicating effectively with both the customer and the service technicians. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of automotive services, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction in Polokwane .

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and professionally, listening attentively to their vehicle concerns.
• Accurately translate customer needs into detailed service orders for the technicians.
• Provide clear explanations of recommended services, repairs, and associated costs to customers.
• Manage the service schedule, booking appointments and coordinating vehicle flow through the workshop.
• Maintain consistent communication with customers regarding the status of their vehicle repairs.
• Process service payments and ensure customer satisfaction upon completion of services.

Requirements

• Previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or in a customer-facing role within the automotive industry.
• Good understanding of vehicle mechanics and automotive terminology.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a high-pressure environment.
• Proficiency with dealership management systems and basic computer skills.
• A passion for customer service and a strong work ethic.
