About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and caring Family Support Worker to join their team in Randburg, Gauteng. This role focuses on providing practical and emotional support to families facing challenges related to child welfare, parenting, or household stability. You will work collaboratively with families to strengthen their coping mechanisms, enhance parenting skills, and connect them with essential community services. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct home visits and assessments to understand family dynamics and needs.
• Provide practical parenting support and guidance to improve family functioning.
• Assist families in accessing community resources, such as educational programs, healthcare, and financial aid.
• Facilitate positive communication and problem‑solving within families.
• Support families in developing strategies to manage stress and overcome challenges.

Requirements

• Diploma or certificate in Social Work, Early Childhood Development, or a related field.
• Previous experience working directly with families in a support capacity.
• Strong understanding of child development and family systems.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and empathy skills.
• Ability to build trust and rapport with families from diverse backgrounds in Randburg.
• Proficiency in maintaining confidential records and providing clear reports.
