About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous and efficient Catering Service Coordinator to manage the operational flow of their catering services in Queenstown . This role is central to ensuring that every event runs smoothly, from the initial order confirmation to the final delivery and service. You will work closely with the culinary team, event planners, and clients to confirm all details, manage staffing, and oversee the logistical execution of catering setups. The ideal candidate has a strong background in event logistics and a keen eye for detail, with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues proactively. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate all logistical aspects of catering events, including staffing schedules, equipment, and transportation.
• Liaise with clients and event planners to confirm menu selections, delivery times, and service requirements.
• Ensure all necessary catering equipment and supplies are prepared and dispatched to event locations.
• Supervise on-site catering teams during events, ensuring adherence to service standards and client expectations.
• Manage inventory of service-related items and coordinate replenishment as needed.
• Address any on-site issues or client requests promptly and professionally during events.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in event coordination , catering operations, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of event logistics, including setup, service, and breakdown procedures.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple events concurrently.
• Proficiency in communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and staff.
• Ability to remain calm and resourceful under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with food safety and hygiene protocols relevant to catering services.
