About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Second Language (ESL) Teacher to join their online education initiative, serving students in and around Soweto . This role focuses on providing effective instruction to learners who are acquiring English as an additional language, helping them to improve their fluency, comprehension, and communication skills. As a remote position, you will utilize digital tools to create an immersive and supportive learning environment. Your expertise will empower students to achieve their language learning goals, whether for academic, professional, or personal reasons, contributing significantly to educational access and advancement within the Gauteng region.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging ESL lessons tailored to various proficiency levels, from beginner to advanced.
• Employ a variety of teaching methodologies and resources to facilitate language acquisition, including grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversation practice.
• Assess student progress through regular evaluations, providing constructive feedback and personalized learning plans.
• Create a positive and encouraging online learning atmosphere that promotes student participation and confidence.
• Utilize digital platforms and tools effectively to deliver interactive and dynamic ESL instruction.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in English, Linguistics, Education, or a related field.
• TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
• Proven experience teaching English as a Second Language, preferably online.
• Excellent command of the English language and strong understanding of language pedagogy.
• Proficiency with online teaching platforms and digital communication tools.
