Floor Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Floor Manager to lead the retail operations and customer experience at their flagship store in Soweto. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the sales floor, managing staff performance, and ensuring that sales targets are met and exceeded. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of retail best practices. You will play a key role in creating an engaging environment for both customers and staff, contributing significantly to the store's success and upholding the brand's reputation in the vibrant community of Soweto.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the sales floor team, ensuring operational efficiency and excellent customer service.
• Drive sales performance by implementing effective sales strategies and motivating the team.
• Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Oversee inventory levels, stock replenishment, and visual merchandising to maximize product appeal.
• Handle complex customer inquiries and resolve escalated issues to ensure satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a retail management or supervisory role.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a sales team.
• Strong understanding of retail operations, sales techniques, and customer service principles.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in retail management systems and point-of-sale (POS) technology.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
