WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Design and build Oracle database solutions endto end: schemas, tables, indexes and stored procedures, aligned with bestpractice and industry standards.
• Write andoptimise complexSQL, PL/SQL and database functions that meet business requirements andperformance standards.
• Hunt downbottlenecks throughquery tuning, indexing and resource management to keep systems highlyavailable, reliable and scalable.
• Keep databaseshealthy bymonitoring with Oracle tools and utilities and handling backups, restores,upgrades and troubleshooting.
• Protect sensitivedata byimplementing and enforcing database security measures and access controls.
• Lead delivery of database developmentprojects with PMs, BAs and IT teams, from requirements to on-time delivery.
• Mentor and lead junior developers, providinghands-on technical leadership.
• Drive improvement by documentingdesigns and configurations, reporting on performance and project status tosenior management, and recommending upgrades to performance, security andfunctionality.

Requirements

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Bachelor’sdegree in Computer Science, IT or a related field
• 7+years as an Oracle Developer designing, developing and optimising Oracledatabase solutions
• Proven,strong Oracle SQL, PL/SQL and Oracle Performance Tuning skills, with a focus onperformance optimisation
• Advancedknowledge of Oracle database architecture, design and development
• Experiencewith data migration, ETL processes and database integration
• Experiencewith database management and monitoring tools
• Excellentanalytical and problem-solving skills, plus effective communication andinterpersonal skills

Nice to have: an advanced degree orcertifications such as Oracle Certified Professional
