Temporary Position in Durban, KwaZulu Natal - Pinetown

Seniority Level: Mid Level (1 - 2 yrs exp)

Reporting to: Operations

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate the reach truck safely and efficiently to move, lift, stack, and retrieve stock within the warehouse.
• Conduct pre-use inspections of the reach truck and report any defects or maintenance issues.
• Check incoming and outgoing stock against invoices, delivery notes, picking slips, and other relevant documentation.
• Verify product descriptions, quantities, batch numbers, and labels to ensure stock accuracy.
• Inspect goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report any issues to the supervisor.
• Assist with loading, offloading, and transferring stock between designated warehouse areas.
• Ensure stock is stored in the correct locations and that warehouse inventory records are accurate.
• Perform stock counting and assist with stocktaking when required.
• Ensure orders are picked, checked, and prepared accurately for dispatch.
• Maintain proper stock rotation and follow the required stock-handling procedures.
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and comply with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain good housekeeping and ensure that the work area remains clean and organised.
• Handle stock carefully to prevent damage and minimise losses.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, supervisors, and other team members.
• Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Reach Truck Operator Certificate.
• Minimum 1-2 years' experience operating a Reach Truck.
• Previous warehouse / FMCG experience advantageous.
• Experience working with racking systems and palletised stock.
