Remote Data Analyst - Mineral Resource Management

Our client is looking for a skilled Remote Data Analyst to join their innovative Mineral Resource Management team. The position is fully remote, allowing you to contribute from anywhere. You will analyse vast datasets related to mineral exploration, extraction, and processing to identify trends, forecast yields, and optimise resource utilisation. Your insights will inform strategic decision-making, driving efficiency and sustainability across the company’s mining operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and organise large, complex datasets from various mining operations.
• Develop and implement data analysis models to identify patterns, anomalies, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Create compelling data visualisations and dashboards to communicate findings to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Generate reports on mineral resource estimates, production efficiency, and operational costs.
• Collaborate with geologists, engineers, and management teams to provide data‑driven recommendations.
• Stay abreast of new analytical techniques and data science tools relevant to the mining industry.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mining Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• 3+ years of experience in data analysis, with a focus on large datasets.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.
• Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Strong understanding of statistical concepts and methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, comfortable working in a remote setting.
