Sales Representative - Commercial Solar

Introduction

We are looking for an ambitious, results-driven Sales Representative to join our growing commercial solar team.

This is not a role for someone who waits for leads to land in their inbox. We are looking for a hunter — someone who actively identifies opportunities, opens doors, builds relationships and consistently converts prospects into profitable business

Duties & Responsibilities

• Prospecting and developing new commercial and industrial solar opportunities.
• Building and maintaining a strong pipeline of qualified prospects.
• Identifying decision-makers and opening new accounts.
• Conducting client meetings, needs analyses and solution presentations.
• Developing tailored solar solutions in partnership with our technical team.
• Managing the full sales cycle from initial prospecting through to closing.
• Negotiating commercial terms and securing profitable deals.
• Maintaining accurate CRM records and providing regular pipeline forecasts.
• Building long-term relationships with clients and identifying opportunities for repeat business and referrals.
• Consistently achieving and exceeding monthly and annual sales targets.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• A successful track record in B2B sales, ideally within commercial solar, renewable energy, electrical, energy or a related technical industry.
• A genuine hunter mentality and strong new-business development skills.
• Demonstrable evidence of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent prospecting, networking and cold-outreach abilities.
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• The confidence to engage with business owners, executives, finance teams and technical decision-makers.
• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
• A disciplined approach to pipeline management and follow-up.
• The resilience and persistence required to operate in a competitive sales environment.
• A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to client sites.

Package & Remuneration

R25 000 CTC to R45 000 CTC per month + Incentives based on experience and qualifications
