SAE Institute is looking for a passionate and qualified 3D animationlecturer to teach and inspire young minds at our North Coast (Ballito) campus. Responsibilities Facilitationin accordance with the learning outcomes as set for the SAE Animationprogramme, with a focus on practical application, theoretical frameworks,workflow and technique. Mentorstudents, conduct consultations and facilitate learning opportunities. Researchrelevant content in order to develop learning material and lesson plans. Evaluation,moderation, invigilation and assessment of learning. Keepaccurate records of evidence (e.g. attendance, assessment results). Possessoutstanding communication, interpersonal skills, administration skills, behighlyorganized and possess good time management skills. Collaborativeand willing to work with fellow lecturers and the HOD to support students. Requirements MinimumNQF Level 8 qualification (BA Honours) in relevant field Experience in thefield of 3D animation of a minimum of 2 years. Classroommanagement and workshop facilitation skills: A minimum of 2 years’ recentexperience in an academic or training environment preferred. Must beknowledgeable about 3D animation principles, workflows and processes(modelling, texturing, layout, lighting, rendering, basic rigging) Demonstrateknowledge and experience in 3D software package Maya, optionally Blender.
